Whole Brain Development

The brain has two hemispheres that may look anatomically a similar, they differ in their dominant functions. Dr.Roger W. Sperry, a Nobel laureate, was one of the first scientists to bring about this theory with his experiments on the “split-brain” patients.

His experiments brought about this idea that the Right Brain develops early-is holistic, intuition, creative, imaginative, and responsible for nonverbal communication, emotions and feelings. Left Brain develops later-is linear, logical, literal, analytical, and responsible for verbal communications and intelligence.

Where as the traditional schooling method caters to the left brain. In the last few years, Functional Neurology has emerged as a new field in the realm of Neuroscience, which has strengthened this idea further.

Neuroplasticity
(The Science Behind Brighter Minds)

The science behind Brighter Minds “Neuro” comes from Neuron meaning brain cells and Plasticity is the quality of being easily shaped or moulded. Neuroplasticity, means that the brain can repair, regenerate or change, from any stimulus which can be sensory, motor, cognitive or emotional experiences.

This plasticity of the brain is much better in children and decreases as they grow. Hence it is important to expose children to appropriate stimuli early in life while their brain is developing to ensure optimum utilization of brain functions.

There is a lot of Scientific evidence which suggests that stimuli in the form of Aerobic exercises, brain gym, music, positive suggestions and loving environment, relaxation, meditation can change the brain structure in form of increasing the number of brain cells, making newer and stronger synaptic connections between the brain cells and the two hemispheres.unmasking dormant neural pathways in the brain and causing sensory substitution and augmentation.

Role of Enivorment / Epigentic

Children perceive the environment around them not only with respect to social space and activity space but also with regards to their inner space, which is subjective in nature. In other words, they perceive not just what is outside them but also what they feel inside.

Our program blends fun with learning through activities that inspire curiosity and joy, encouraging children to explore their environment and unlock their full potential.

There is clear evidence that parents can and do influence children.Environment matters a lot.The cells of our body are affected by our thoughts. Our development is not completely controlled by our genes, but environment also has a role.~ Bruce Lipton

Brain Wave Entrainment

Entrainment is the process of synchronization, where vibrations of one object will cause the vibrations of another object to oscillate at the same rate.

An external stimulus like music is used at a particular frequency, which makes a set neurons fire together hence bringing the Brain waves in a frequency similar to that of the beats or music.

With repeated stimuli, more and more neurons get recruited or “unmasked” to form neuronal pathways. Brainwave is the combined synchronized electrical activity of the neurons in the brain. Its frequency has the tendency to align itself with the frequency of any external stimulus. This tendency is utilized in a process called Brainwave entrainment where brainwave frequencies are adjusted or adapted to a desired external stimulus. Studies have shown that stimulating the neurons at specific frequencies can play an important role in enhancing memory and learning.
